Scientific Research Conducted On River Ganga

1. Research by a British scientist named E. Henry hacking in 1896

He took cholera water in a container and poured it into clean water. He saw that the water germs lasted for 2-3 days. while the cholera water was destroyed only in 3 hours when it was poured into the water of the Ganges.

2. In the year 1927, French scientists were surprised when they researched the corpses flowing into the Ganges did not have any bacteria beneath them. According to them, there should have been millions of germs in the water under the corpses, but not a single germ was found.

They discovered the fact that the Ganges water contained a substance called a bacteriophage that destroys germs. Therefore, the river Ganga is cleaner than other rivers.

Ganga water holds 13% higher oxygen content as compared to other rivers. This fact is also scientifically proven.
