Nandprayag is confluence of Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers. The origin of the Nandakani river is the Trishul mountain of the Himalayas, which is located in the Kumaon district of the Himalayas. Nanda Baba did penance in Nandprayag, hence the name of the place is Nandprayag. The Gopal Temple, Chandi Mata Temple, Lakshmi Narayana vishveshwar, Mahadev Temple are the places to see here. The place is situated at an elevation of 1358 meters above sea level.
